I'll be honest, it was a lot of years ago that I read Isles, but I am sure almost any story anyone tells could contradict something REH has written or implied. My only meaning is that I enjoy the way he just sails off into the unknown, and leaves it open for the reader to imagine what else he could encounter and see, and any further legacy he may have left in these new lands. I just enjoy the open-endedness of that.
